Cool as a Cucumber Week 7 IM II

Saturday, April 27th - 7 am

We are in week 7 of 8 in the Interim Maintenance 2 cycle, it was a rest week, with no treatments. Julia had clinic day yesterday to get lab work done. Her numbers were good, her red blood cell count is maintaining, platelets are trending up & ANC (immunity to fight infections/viruses) is the best we've seen in months. She didn't need any transfusions, praise God!!

Juju has been experiencing some leg/knee pains at night, these might be caused by all the exercises she's been doing this week. Also, the nausea is still a daily issue, we are keeping her on medication to control around the clock. Other than these two issues our little sunshine is doing wonderful.

Julia has been playing spa with cucumber in her eyes, face massages & warm baths are the latest trends! Since Juju learned to ride her bicycle, she looks forward to a daily lap around the block riding her bike. She is also been busy petting & talking to baby caterpillars in the milkweeds, observing all the other caterpillars that have turned to chrysalis this week, there's a total of 16 inside the net house, soon-to-be monarchs.
